Black bean with grass carp soup

I just wanted to start a small column in my blog to write some of the Chinese herbal soup and also some traditional soup that my mom used to make for us to drink through out all the years. This soup is best to be consume during winter or cold season and the following is the ingredient for it.

200 gm black bean

10 – 15 pcs grass carp bone ( you can get it from petaling street market) cantonese called “Wan yu”

4 – 5 pcs of dried red dates

2 – 3 pcs of ginger (diced)

To start with:

1) First, deep fried all the grass carp bone till the color become yellowish and drain all the oil out then put it aside.

2) Stir the black bean in the hot pan for few minutes and boil with ginger for about 1 hour.

3) After an 1 hrs boiling the black bean, now you can put the fried grass carp in the soup and let it boil for another 2 – 3 hrs. Add salt or soya souce to taste.

This is a very simple and nice soup.

Myvi with Transformer emblem logo

My friend new MyVi send for re-paint as few scratched on the door and he also want to remove all the Perodua logo from the car. He wanted to put the “Transformer” emblem logo and I said should ask the foreman see whether can stick the emblem inside the back of the car logo there. Mini Concert & Harry Potter

Cool… my friend having a small concert in “Red box” sing from 12 pm till 6 pm… bravo bravo friend…you guys really have great stamina oh… too bad i can’t join but I was around that area as I send my wife for medical check up and have to wait few hours, so I go to Sunway Pyramid to get movie “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” as is it my wife favorite movies. She has all the novel of the Harry Potter but is in mandarin…. too bad i can’t read mandarin.

Actually I’m thinking of learning mandarin….if i got free time as kinda miss out when friend go to karaoke mostly they sing mandarin songs….some songs i do know how to sing….but very very little then. Hmm… how long does it takes to learn then? How long and how soon you can master it is how discipline and concentrate you are, right?

“Transformers” movies still selling likes hot cakes as I saw the show times only left 12:10 am…wow… how to get the tickets then… have to purchase few days in advance i think. I only manage to get the “Couple Seat” ticket as the normal ticket is 3rd & 4th row from the screen, how to watch if that near….you will feel dizzy. I remember 2 years ago, during CNY 16 of us going for movies and manage to get seat in the 1st row…fantastic view man…. after the movies…all started to !$$#$(@&#&&%@# !!! the worst thing is pain in the neck… good experience too.

TGV in Pyramid have move to new premises, where is just above the existing old floor. I think is using the new building area if not mistaken, the new outlook is much more clean and ticket counter is more easy to see where is your seat. I took a snapshot of how it look inside the cinema as the new seating now is very steep compare to last time and you hardly see other ppl head.

The “Couple Seat” still not that confortable compare to GSC couple seat as it has the head rest where TGV does not have, but it is spacious…he he he easy to hug around.

2 indian stole hand phone in office

This happen yesterday afternoon, my ex-colleague Lily hand phone get stolen at office when 2 Indian press the door bell at downstairs gate. They said delivery some goods and look for Mr. Lee, Lily said no such person and ask is it looking for upstairs office? the 2 Indian said yes, so Lily open the door and the 2 Indian guy come in to the upstairs floor. Then after awhile, the 2 Indian came down and look for Lily said is for your office delivery.

They argue for awhile at the glass door and Lily open the door for the Indian guy to show some document. The guy purposely put the document nearby the hand phone area and while you’re not aware the guy already stole the hand phone. The 2 Indian insist said is deliver something and ask Lily to go down with them to get the goods, luckily Syed is around colleague of Lily and went down with the 2 Indian guy see what is all about. When they reach down stairs, they ask Syed to wait there……..till sometimes no one show up…

At that time, Lily is not notice that her hand phone is gone till when she want to make calls only notice but is too late…. Today they recall back the CCTV recording and manage to see how it happen. That guy is really fast till you even didn’t notice it… Please beware next time, don’t simply open the door if the person they looking for is non-exist.

Btw, Lily is happy too can change to new hand phone….kekekeke. She just bought the new Sony Ericsson K810i with 1GB memory for RM 1300.

Station1 Cafe Puchong

We hang around in Station1 cafe Puchong where Lun’s favorite place to be where he can find his all time buddy “Skol” beer. Our friend said want to stop beer for a month..so far he really done it. We ordered 4 drinks and enjoy the song’s played on the radio, mostly is 80’s and 90’s pop songs just meet our feel…

Compare this outlet to Bandar Puteri outlet, i prefer to go Bandar Puteri outlet as the environment there have more eye’s refreshment…hehehe, guy’s you know what i’m talking bout …kekeke. Almost everytime we out for drinks for sure they will talk about ghost story and only will start talk when the nite getting late….then we change the subject to love story…back to old days, where how you court your girlfriend/wife..such a sweet memories recall back. But i just feel i do miss a lot of the teenage time where i’m suppose to enjoy like other kids, where they have campus life, living away from families although you do miss your family but you have a different’s kind of experience

And you gain a lot of friendship and do lots of funny thing or dumb thing. I’m just a mama boy’s where most of the times at home doing house work and play my games, seldom hang around with friends nor out with friends. Maybe of that makes me not so friendly…kekeke sort of..and not well communicate with people.

My colleague life is not that bad too, get to know groups of friend that most of the time hanging around IMBI last time is very popular but now a bit rundown. I remember those days we used to buy pc games, where you buy 10 games get 1 free and we all share among to combined to get 10 pcs.

Ho Ho Steamboat

Last Friday night after work, four of us Lun, Pay Nee, Lily and me go to Sri Petaling for steamboat dinner. I like this place called “Ho Ho Steamboat” corner shop opposite the Telekom building. We order for 3 pax and add in some extra dishes, i like 1 of the extra dishes called “yu kau” and “QQ” sounds cute till you eat…yummy.. yummy.. we finish the dinner around 1 hour, we all feel very full but not done yet still looking for a drink place second round.

Restaurant Long Grilled Fish Seafood

Last Saturday, when to this restaurant in kepong “Long Grilled Fish Seafood” near the 3 Chinese temple along the road side just behind the football field. Sorry..didn’t get the address, the boss recommend us to eat the shark lips stew like shark fin soup. Very delicious and it is not frequent dishes, only happen it got on that day so we just order and taste it but 1 thing is the soup is too little. The other dishes that my friend ask me to taste is the “Rainbow Lo She Fun”, eventually is not what i expected and it make it like “Loh mee” taste is so so only.

After the dinner, plan to find a place for a drink and relax but end up in “Red Box – The Curve”. Reach there around 9:45 pm and sing till 12:30 and worst part we have not finish sing all the song we have choosen. We have not sing our beloved song “Michael Learn To Rock” and “Thong hua – Guang Liang”, this make us all like missing something. Feel like want to continue but sadly all room fully booked.

No choice to just for a teh tarik session in “Palm Spring” there, had few shot of Teh Halia chat for awhile and call it for a day…..i notice that we are out more then last time……

New Nissan Latio

I have tested the new Nissan Latio last 2 week ago and the car is handling very well in cornering. It quite spacious compare to Vios and quite a lot of headroom space. I’ve try the 1.6 and 1.8 model, i prefer the 1.6 model where it’s more power for town use where 1.8 is more for long distance. 1.6 more save petrol hehehe, pricing wise abit pricey compare to vios and city. Thinking of change to city…still planning or wait till Latio drop price…hahah

Free night stay at Sunway Tower Hotel

Cool..thanks to Lily and Ah ho for giving me this free 2d 1n stay voucher in Sunway Tower Hotel at Sunway. Too bad just can have 1 night stay, even it’s near to my house it’s make me feel like I’m on vacation. We only have a short time, as we check-in after work 6 pm and reach hotel around 7 pm.

We took a shower and go to pyramid for dinner as its just behind the hotel in walking distance. We had dinner at 3JC for noodles..too bad forget to take a photo of it. After dinner we go for shopping as now having “Malaysia Mega Sales” promotion, we bought few cloth from FOS and not enough time to shop for others as already 10 pm.

Then we stop by “Star Bucks Cafe” and ordered 1 new flavor Azuki Frappuccino, wonder why call it Azuki? Actually the coffee bean is blend with red bean, it taste like ais kacang with coffee…i let the imagination to you how the taste like..hehehe
